This portfolio project showcases Uniterra International’s involvement in managing and supervising automated citrus grading and sorting operations designed to meet export-grade quality standards.
The project focused on handling high-volume citrus processing using mechanized grading lines equipped with roller conveyors and automated separation systems. Fruits were fed into the line where they were evenly distributed to ensure smooth flow and avoid congestion, bruising, or surface damage during processing.
Each citrus fruit passed through calibrated grading channels designed to separate produce based on size, weight, and external appearance. This automation allowed consistent grading accuracy while maintaining high processing efficiency, making it suitable for large export consignments with uniform quality requirements.
Quality supervision remained a critical part of the operation. Visual monitoring and periodic manual checks were conducted to ensure defective, undersized, or damaged fruits were removed from the export stream. This dual approach of automation supported by human oversight ensured reliability without compromising quality standards.
Post-grading, fruits were directed toward packing lines where export-compliant cartons were prepared according to buyer specifications. Alignment between grading output and packing requirements reduced handling errors and improved workflow efficiency.
This project highlights Uniterra International’s capability to manage modern post-harvest infrastructure and integrate automated systems into export supply chains. By ensuring precise grading, reduced handling damage, and consistent output, the operation contributed directly to improved export performance and buyer satisfaction.
The successful execution reinforces our role as a professional trade partner capable of handling scale, technology, and quality simultaneously in fresh produce exports.
